Rules & Regulations
THE COUNTRY CLUB RANCH - RULES & REGULATIONS
  1. The horse owner(s) understands that the stable area is at all times to remain suitable for the entire family of the other horse owners, and that no belligerent, malicious, lewd, vulgar, profane or otherwise objectionable conduct or language will be tolerated. The animal owner hereby covenants that his or her conduct will at all times be dignified and civil, and hereby authorizes his or her immediate expulsion and permanent exclusion from the stables if he or she breaches this covenant.
  2. The consumption or possession of alcohol and/or drugs on the equestrian center premises is prohibited at all times. SMOKING is prohibited on the HUNTER EQUESTRIAN CENTER and/or COUNTRY CLUB RANCH (hereinafter HEC) premises without exception.
  3. Only boarders in good standing may use the riding facilities; no one else is permitted on HEC grounds without prior written consent/permission of HEC management. Anyone riding on the premises must obtain and sign a General Release of Liability prior to commencing any handling of horses/equipment present at the stables.
  4. HEC is not responsible for personal articles and/or tack that are lost or stolen. PERSONAL ITEMS found in cross-ties, wash-racks, turnouts, barn aisles, or arenas at the end of the day will either be confiscated or thrown away by management.
  5. ALWAYS WALK HORSES on the grounds and in between aisles.
  6. DO NOT LEAVE HORSES UNATTENDED in arenas, wash racks, cross-ties, or turnouts.
  7. DO NOT TIE HORSES to any stall, sliding stall doors, or arena fence; It is dangerous.
  8. Arenas are solely for the purpose of riding – DO NOT use arenas for turnouts. Use the round-pen for lounging. Use the turnouts for free exercise.
  9. CLEAN-UP cross-ties, stalls, and/or riding areas after use and REMOVE horse manure as soon as feasible in cross-ties and wash racks.
  10. HELMETS are REQUIRED and MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES IN EVERY ARENA – NO EXCEPTIONS. Protective GLOVES are recommended!
  11. HORSES MAY NOT BE RIDDEN ON HEC grounds in a halter and lead rope. Proper riding attire is required on the premises.
  12. CONSUMPTION / STORAGE of human food is NOT permitted in the barn areas. HEC management is committed to reducing the rodent population inhabiting the barn – bringing food into the barn will be considered willful misconduct. Throw away fast food packaging and trash in designated trash barrels. Please notify staff if the trash cans are full.
  13. DOGS are not permitted past the parking lot for any reason regardless of whether leashed or held by their owners. DOGS pose a safety hazard to horses and riders and DO NOT belong at the stable. Please note: MISUpotamus muddy paws is not a dog – she is the resident Barn Goddess.
  14. Inform HEC management of any broken jumps, gates, stalls, sprinklers, water pipes, water buckets etc., so that broken items can be repaired as soon as possible. Failure to notify HEC management upon discovery of such problems will be considered intentional misconduct.
  15. Inform HEC management if you have any serious problems pertaining to your horses stall or feed. Do not interfere with the responsibilities or duties of the staff.
  16. HEC hours are between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day. Please notify management if you have any reason to be here either before or after this time.
  17. Lights in the Dressage courts are available between 4p.m. and 8p.m. during Winter months. Please be aware that the lights automatically turn off at 8p.m.
  18. USE COMMON SENSE AT ALL TIMES. IF YOU QUESTION WHETHER SOMETHING IS A RULE OR NOT, BE ASSURED THAT IT IS A RULE!!! ALWAYS ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION AND GOOD JUDGEMENT. IF THERE IS A GOOD WAY vs. AN EASY WAY TO ACCOMPLISH A TASK, CHOOSE THE GOOD WAY.
